With people rediscovering the great outdoors closer to home and regional travel booming across much of Australia, Secura Lifestyle has launched its new website with a fresh look and design making it easier for visitors to plan their next holiday.

The new website features an upfront availability search function and a streamlined booking process. The platform has been designed with a greater visual focus and optimised user navigation to help visitors find the type of holiday they want.

The events of 2020 saw a shift in the travel industry. As social distancing, border closures and lockdowns became commonplace, Australians turned online for the things they needed. Spending more time at home than ever before, we were left to ‘dream’ of our next holiday. We went online to be inspired, and to plan our ‘freedom” escapes.

“Our website is the first point of contact for many holiday park visitors. They’re looking for inspiration on where to head for their next getaway, and importantly a quick, efficient booking process once they decide” said Secura Lifestyle CEO, David Birch.

“We wanted to make it simpler for both new and return guests, to access the information they needed. For our return guests who already know the type of accommodation, caravan or camp site they want, we’ve streamlined the process so that they can simply check availability from the home page.” Mr Birch added.

Whilst holidaymakers went online, the pandemic also shaped which devices we used to browse and shop with. Secura Lifestyle was eager to ensure its web platform was also a responsive site - optimised to focus on its mobile users’ needs. Features such as swiping galleries, larger touch navigation buttons and intuitive layout provide a seamless experience.

“Over sixty percent of our website visitors access our site via a mobile device. We were conscious our design needed to be easy to navigate on smartphones, first and foremost. Visual real estate is at a premium. On-the-go patience is minimal. The key was to provide the essential information upfront; less scrolling and tapping required. We’ve also incorporated more iconography for quicker scanning. With more travellers bringing their four-legged family members on holidays, we’ve also made it simpler to identify which cabins and site are dog-friendly” said Mr Birch.

The refresh of the Secura Lifestyle website now allows users to explore their options quickly and easily; and to spend more time looking forward to a memorable holiday.
